Financial Analyst

Our client is a leading manufacturing/distribution company. They have a national presence and focus on quality products sold to over 2000+ customers.
They have recently expanded their warehouse and distribution centers in TX.
They have close to 500 employees nationally and have been in business for close to 100 years. This is a stable and growing organization committed to excellence!

Due to growth, they are looking to add an Analyst to the team to focus mainly on analysis of inventory.

The Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in the organization, responsible for maintaining and optimizing inventory control procedures. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including customer service, purchasing, and warehouse teams, to ensure efficient supply chain operations. The Inventory Analyst will report to the Controller and work to enhance inventory turns while identifying and resolving discrepancies in our inventory management processes.

What Will the Financial Analyst Do?

• Manage and maintain the current inventory to ensure accuracy and availability.
• Complete month-end valuation and reporting using GAAP standards.
• Assess and monitor inventory transactions within our warehouse.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align inventory with supply chain objectives.
• Calculate duty tax overheads for inventory valuation and approve duty tax invoices.
• Identify and address usage and inventory issues.
• Resolve discrepancies in inventory, including end-of-month reconciliation.
• Generate and maintain monthly reports on inventory balances and shortages.
• Collaborate with customer service and purchasing teams to predict future inventory needs and develop buying plans based on forecasts and sales data.

Preferred Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree
• Minimum of 3 years in accounting and/or financial analysis
• retail/ inventory experience
